Magazine Editors' Event for My Book

Last week we held the pre-launch book event for my new book, Eva Scrivo on Beauty, for beauty and book editors from many different national publications. The book's official publication date is April 5, 2011. L'Oreal Professionnel sponsored this event - they have been such an amazing partner to me and my business!  

About 30 editors in all came to our salon that day between the morning and afternoon sessions. We had chapter opener pages, along with how-to illustrations and photos from the book blown up to poster size and set up around the salon. My publisher, Judith Curr, did the intructions and then I spoke for about 20 to 30 minutes about my book and the inspirations behind it. Aferwards, we mingled and I answered many of their questions, and then the editors got blowouts and haircuts with our stylists, along with makeup and nails. It was really a great day! I feel somewhat relieved to have it behind me, and happy and proud of how well everything went and the level of interest everyone had in this one-of-a-kind comprehensive beauty book.
