Special Thanksgiving Beauty Tip

People often use the hollidays as an excuse for gluttony. You can still enjoy your meals just as much and feel much better afterward, by eating more mindfully. Remember that the brain takes about 20 minutes to catch up with your stomach. This is why it's so easy to over-eat to the point where you feel sick later. Simply slowing down while eating will greatly help you to control your portion size. You can still eat all your favorite foods, just less of them.Gandhi would say, "Chew your drink and drink your food." This is a wonderful reminder that the digestion process actually begins in the mouth, with digestive enzymes from the salivary glands. "Chewing your drink" refers to how the act of chewing activates those glands to signal the stomach that something is coming. "Drinking your food" means that if chewed sufficiently, it becomes almost liquefied before being swallowed, which allows the body to assimilate the nutrients more efficiently. Many digestive problems can be helped or even eliminated by following this simple wisdom. When it comes to alcohol, try to drink two glasses of water of every alcoholic beverage your consume. You'll be thankful you did in the morning.Happy Thanksgiving! ProductsMegazymes by Megafood help to ease the digestion and make you feel less full. Especially helpful if you've over-eaten. See More

USA Today Article

This article in USA Today, on breaking up with your personal service providers, came out this past Thursday. I was interviewed for it a few weeks ago. It was an hour-long interview that resulted in a couple of quotes, but they interviewed several people for it, including psychologists. This subject is something I speak about in much more detail in my book. The gist of the article is that people are afraid to leave service providers like hairdressers, personal trainers, etc, because they feel like they are breaking off a personal, rather than a business relationship. I believe that it pays to keep in mind that this is, in fact, a business relationship and you're a customer purchasing a service. As a customer, you have the right to see whomever you wish, as often as you wish, without the professional making you feel guilty at the possibility of wanting to try someone else. This is simply your right as a client. Something I also said during my interview with USA Today, that was left out of the article, is that this is rarely just about money, but mostly about being happy with the service and seeing the value in it. If you're not completely happy, then it doesn't matter much whether a haircut is $50 or $200, you should and most likely will seek an alternative. See More

Hi Eva,

Wondering if you have an opinion on micro needling rollers?  Are they effective for fine lines and light acne scars?

I have looked up your hydrating foundation. I am in south Georgia and no place carries this. Could you please send me a sample of the colors this comes in? I would not ask but it is very costly ($48.00) and I don't want to get the wrong shade. thanks for your kindness. Alane

Hi Eva. I reside in Rochester, New York. I have gone thru so many hair dressers in the last 5 years after my hair dresser stopped cutting hair, and haven't found the right person for me. Can you recommend someone around my area? I would so much appreciate it. Thank you!!!
