Hello,

Eva has talked about various prescription wrinkle creams on Beauty Talk and unfortunately I'm always driving and can not write them down. Could someone recommend one or two I should ask my doctor about?

I'm 49 years old and I'm seeing brown spots appearing and wrinkling around the eyes and some sagging beginning to appear. I have had botox around my eyes 3 or 4 times over the years. I would like to do something to slow the aging progress without having to spend an exuberant amount of money on laser treatments, etc.

I was a sun worshiper back in my younger yeas. I now wear an spf 30 or higher to prevent further damage.

Several reviews mentioned tightening of skin around the eyes. Recognizing that there are individual responses to various products, I nevertheless decided to try the gel. Because of eyelid and eyebrow surgery that was slipping around my right eye, frequent botox provided a temporary lift. I have just finished the first container of gel which was applied twice daily in combination with Lumiere, and my 5x magnifying mirror indicates a definite lifting of the skin between brow and lid, in addition to softening scar tissue above the lid. This is amazing because before beginning this regimen, another botox appointment was definitely being considered. Because of delicate skin in that area, I applied both products with a Q tip which was also able to provide a gentle massage. Incidentally, my esthetician corroborates the results along with the mirror.

This is a copy of the review for Neocutis BIO-GEL Restorative Hydrogel with PSP. Lumiere is the eye cream. These products aren't inexpensive, but definitely less than laser or botox. I continue to be amazed at the results. Both are in pump dispensers which provide the small amounts needed. All othe products that I've used are considered trial and error and GONE!!
I would suggest using Retin A on a nightly basis. It helps smooth the surface of the skin and increase collagen production. Use very sparingly, I recommend starting with a pea-sized amount. Wait 30 minutes before applying moisturizer. You will also have to use a sunscreen daily as Retin A makes the skin more sensitive to UVA rays.
