Sensitive eye lids

I am having a problem with some eyeshadows itching and burning my eye lids. I have tried MAC, Clinique, Bare Minerals and Lancome to name a few. Light colors such as canvas, cream, etc. seem not to be as much of a problem. Do you have any suggestions for sensitive eye lids?

My sister found out she was allergic to the blue dye in many of the colored eyeshadows. The people at the cosmetic counters said that was real common. That may be why you can tollerate the loght colors - something to consider...

Pat, I concur with what Jill has posted. Blue dye is probably the culprit. My eyes are very sensitive as well. I've found that using a natural eyeshadow and/or eyeliner works best for me and don't have the problem with itching and burning. The same goes for eye makeup removers.

I recommended a product to a friend of mine who had eczema on her eyelids and she called it a miracle. It's called Soothing calendula salve and is made by a company called Healing Anthropology.
