Keratin Treatment and Foil at the same time?

Eva,

I'm confused on whether I should have a keratin treatment and a foil at the same time.  One stylist said I should wait 2 weeks between foil and keratin and another stylist told me it would lock in color and prevent hair from drying out if done at the same time.  The particular Keratin treatment I am getting is called Keragreen (formaldehyde free) and I don't believe it is a straightening treatment.  I would appreciated anyone's expert opinion on this! Thanks

Hi Darla,

I recommend doing the treatment the same day as the color. At my salon, we schedule the coloring service with keratin directly after. We have not any problems with doing everything the same day.

Another precautionary measure is to remind your colorist not to over lap the lightener.  Keeping the bleach in the root area will prevent possible breakage, which is healthy virgin hair, opposed to applying the color on to previously lighted hair.
