Hi Eva - I called in earlier this week to ask about hair cut terminology to tell my stylist how to cut my shoulder length hair so it does not flip out and instead flip under or lay strait.  I believe you told me to mention concave layering and ask for an undercut.  Any more details are welcomed!

Thanks, love the show and forum!

Hi Katie,
I think that the most important thing is to communicate clearly to your stylist what you do and do not want (just like you did above). Without seeing your hair, I can't really say what he or she should do, but a good stylist should be able to give you what you want and show you how to properly blow dry your hair so that it lays the way you want it to. Another hint is once you explain what you want, try to keep personal chatter to a minimum, so that your stylist can concentrate on your hair. Glad you enjoy my show and hope that this helps.
Best
Eva
