My sister and I have both experienced cracks on the tips of our fingers. They are terribly hard to heal and hurt quite badly, especially if you accidently hit them. I know plutting lotion on my hands after washing helps a bit, but not completely.
Is there anything that would help heal them?
Thanks to anyone who can help.

First, be sure to protect your hands with wear rubber gloves when doing the dishes or any cleaning. You may also have an allergy to certain fragrances that are in soap and shampoos. Try using something natural if you're not already. My mother actually gets the same thing from fragrances. For shampoo/conditioner, a great natural product is by Rahua. You can find natural soaps at most healthfood stores. If not completely natural, it should be fragrance-freee. Please let me know if this helps.

While your hands are still slightly moist apply a heavy layer of petroleum jelly to the cracked areas and a thinner layer over the rest of your hands.
