Hello,

Could you recommend an under-eye concealer that actually hides dark circles, or does such a thing even exist? All the ones I have tired--from cheap to expensive--do not seem to work. Thanks.

Hi Jenny,

I have bad circles and I use YSL Touche Eclat and combine it with Cle de Peau that I put on sparingly with a tiny brush - it works pretty well for me. Hope it helps!

I do not use YSL Touche Eclat, but several ladies I know do and swear by it. Worth every penny.
I used YSL and it isn't worth the money!!! I promise, my derm told me about it and honestly don't buy it. I don't know how old you are but there is a product by Cargo called Blue Ray that works well and doesn't sink into lines, I found it at Sephora...or online. There is also a product at Target that isn't quite as good but half the price, I am not sure if you need it for just dark circles and keep it from defining your lines or not....
Hi Jenny,
I've heard Eva recommend Lancome's waterproof concealer on the show. I think it's the one called Effacernes. I'm going to try it next. Another one to try is Cle de Peau's Correcteur Visage. It's expensive, but lasts forever.
Good luck!

I use Lancome Waterproof and love it...i have tried just about everything and i always go back to Lancome and i also use Laura Mercier secret brightening powder on top of this...perfect combination.....highly recommend this combination...
In order to cover bruising after eyelid surgery, I found that Kevin Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer was the best....the consistency can be modified by using moisturizer or eye cream. It worked by dabbing on with fingertips, then blending with a regular size makeup brush (not a concealer brush), the blending again with fingers so that it almost becomes part of the skin. It has great staying power when dusted lightly with powder. The problem is selecting the correct color if you need to order online. The colormatch to the product is difficult. I preferred a shade closer to my skin, rather than lighter. This seemed to do a better job covering the bruises. Plastic surgeons also use Jane Iredale who advertises being able to cover tattos. There is also Dermablend. Finding something that really works can be expensive because you don't know unless you actually use it and no one has samples..c
I recently purchased a Lancome concealer. Best I have ever used!! I had them show me how to apply. It made a big difference.
when covering up dark circles, first take a look at your skin tone. look at the undertones in the circles-- are they more blue, or green? correcting the color, rather than just masking it, will allow you to fix the problem with less makeup (that tends to cake in the fine lines under your eyes). i love the corrector pens by t le clerc. Orchide has pink undertones that really help minimize the blue in undereye circles. we have them here at the salon, go in the boutique or give us a call.

the lancome waterproof is amazing, too.
I've always had great success with Arbonne's About Face Cream Concealer - Fair. It's a cream concealer I apply with my concealer brush... and it does a great job on my blemishes and telangiectasia(Broken Capillaries) too. It also helps firm the delicate skin around the eye. It's only $20.00

I haven't tried this one yet, but 100% Pure has a Peach Pigmented Brightening Concealer 100% naturally made with caffeine rich green tea, green coffee and concentrated with potent anti-aging vitamins, antioxidants and nourishing blackcurrant oil. This one is priced at $21.00 both available at www.naturalorganicbody.com
HI Jenny,
My absolute favorite concealer is Lancome's waterproof concealer. It has a creamy consistency, lasts all day, and does not crease. Choose a color one shade lighter then your skin tone, and that has a slight pink undertone. Pink will diffuse the darkness under the eye.Remember to apply eye cream prior to your concealer, so the skin is nice and hydrated. I even mix a dap of eye cream right in with my concealer. Using an eye cream specifically for dark circles is key as well. I suggest Yon Ka Phyto Contour eye cream with rosemary and mint. It really works great! For an extra boost to de-puff, put the eye cream in the fridge. You can purchase the eye cream from our boutique, just go to the link below.
