Hi everyone! I'm happy to be here- I am learning so much, and I love trying all of the advice given.
I am curious about your opinion with regard to the new "Cleansing Conditioners" that are the hot topic on infomercials and QVC- (I won't mention the brand name out of courtesy)
I have very long, (highlighted for 23 yrs!) blonde hair- very healthy, oily scalp if I don't wash it every day,and haven't found a dry shampoo that meets my standards. My color has started oxidizing by the second week of fresh highlights, (turning 45 maybe?) and I was pretty frustrated....even using high end shampoos for color treated hair was not helping.
I ordered a starter pack special off of an infomercial, and have been using the brand since August or so- I have had to change formulas 3 times until I found the one that suited my particular hair type.

So far, I like it- but it's not like I am rejoicing having found the miracle fountain of hair youth...A large bottle in a pump is around $60- And I have to use ALOT!

What are your thoughts on the cleansing conditioners? Are they really superior than sulfate shampoos? Do they really not strip the color because they lack the harsh chemicals?
Love to know what you think! Thanks so much...
Best,
Laura

I think that this is a good concept but I prefer to alternate this type of product with a conventional foaming shampoo once per week or every other time. However, it's important to use a high quality shampoo that won't strip your color or dry out your hair.
