She should start with a cleanser that contains Salicylic acid. This will help to exfoliate the skin, which is important since acne is exacerbated by dead skin clogging the pores.
thank you, she's using a salicylic toner & a clearasil cleanser w/o salicylic acid
She also needs to apply moisturizer, this is a step most teens and young adults skip. I never used moisturizer until 3 years ago, and it has helped me manage my t-zone area. Depending on her skin care routine indicates when the moisturizer should be applied. Be sure it is non-comedogenic, fragrance and oil free.
thanks lots will make sure she moisturizes
here are a few little things that really helped my face......1.)i change my pillowcase everyother night. sleep on one side, flip it the next, then change it. 2.) i change my face towel next to the sink about every 2-3 days also. 3.) i know this sounds weird but the least i wash my face the clearer it is. i try to only rinse with water in the morning and then i wash it gently at night (don't scrub) with a 2% salicylic wash and toner...then moisturize. 4.) tell her to keep her hands, cell phone, etc... off her face! i try to not let my phone touch my face as much as possible and i clean it with alcohol whenever i think about it.

i noticed a huge difference with these things. i also started getting chemical peels monthly which has helped.

hope these tricks help!
I would suggest the Pureness line by Shiseido. It is an entire line specifically formulated for teens that are prone to acne and breakouts. I would get the Pureness Cleanser, a toner or skin balancer, a daytime moisturizer with spf, and a blemish spot treatment to use day and night. You could also incorporate a Retinol product 3 x a week for a deep exfoliation and resurfacing of the skin. Retin A or Renova is something you can get from your dermatologist. Make sure she uses an SPF everyday when using a Retinol product, It makes your skin very sensitive to the sun. Eating healthy, clean pillow cases, wiping off your cell phone are all factors in keeping your skin clear.
Best of luck!
